En face d'l'église Les Éboulements

Paul Tex Lecor was a multidisciplinary artist, excelling in both painting and song, poetry, animation and even humor. Paul dit Tex Lecor was much loved by Quebecers, and his success on radio and television for decades testifies to this.

An accomplished painter, he founded the Institut d'art figuratif du Québec with other artists to promote Quebec art beyond the borders of the province.

His works are part of the landscape tradition, initially strongly inspired by the master Marc-Aurèle Fortin, Tex Lecor develops his own style by using burst and brilliant colors.

In addition to all his talents, he was a bush pilot and at the controls of his plane he traveled the vast regions of Quebec. His works bear witness to his deep respect for wildlife, nature and the various communities that inhabited these territories.
