Untitled
Here, Untitled, c. 1961, 18 " x 19,75 ". We always find these layers of thickness and textures that accompany the movement of Marcelle Ferron’s brush. The composition of the warm colors horizontal to the bottom of the work, contrasts the verticality of the cold colors coming from the top.
From 1953 to 1965, the painter Marcelle Ferron lived in Paris and created a multitude of oil compositions with vibrant colors and dynamic movements. This period of creation is considered by many as one of the most accomplished of the artist’s career. At the same time, she won the silver medal at the Sao Paulo Biennale in 1961.
