Marcelle Ferron will stay briefly in Sweden in the city of Göteberg and will produce some paper works during her stay. The year 1956 will be significant in the career of the artist because Ferron presents a first solo exhibition in Europe at the Galerie Apollo, in Brussels. She also participated in the 23rd exhibition of the artistic association Les Surindépendants at the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris, then shortly after, in a special exhibition at the Galerie du Haut-Pavé, also in Paris.
