Canadian painter of Polish origin, Kasyn immigrated to Winnipeg in 1938. His artistic training brought him to Toronto, the city for which he found his inspiration.
The artist is known for depicting the streets of Toronto, and Back Yard with Wire Fence (Crawford Street) illustrates the backyard of Victorian-style townhouses in Toronto.
