Aquatint engraving:
Aquatint is a creative technique that creates tonal works by etching small dots into the surface. It creates delicate details on the surface, because the finer and more delicate the stitches, the smoother and more subtle the tonal transition will be.
You can also use aquatint printmaking to create monochrome and color works as well as a range of textures. Artists often use this technique to render the effect of a wash or watercolor.
