Catalogue raisonnée des estampes de Jean-Paul Riopelle, #1990.05EST.GR page 352.
Taken from the texts of the catalog raisonné of prints. Bonnie Baxter confides in Val-David in 2005.
“Jean-Paul chose the proofs he liked and, to find titles for them, he used my annotations in the margins, essential notes for me in order to be able to find the printing order when the time came; for example, in one case he chose the print marked "14", and titled it Qu'à tord son linge, a distortion of the number 14; the test "15" became Quien-toi ben, and the "12" Where do you come from? He liked puns...an artist's proof became an artichoke's proof! “Bonnie Baxter, catalog raisonné of the prints of Jean-Paul Riopelle, Yseult Riopelle, Hibou Éditeurs, page 128-129.
