Guy Robert approached Lemieux's wash drawings in the same way. He will say in his book this: “During the summer of 1972, Lemieux executed a series of wash drawings which brought, in the development of his current theme for fifteen years, a breath of freshness and lightness. The wash technique promotes spontaneity”.
