Les jardins
Francine Simonin was a multidisciplinary artist who developed a unique approach through multiple artistic practices. Her technique and medium varied, but during creation, she became one with her body and movement, resulting in spontaneous and intuitive works reminiscent of abstract impressionism, which she identified as “the cousin”. In the early 2000s, Simonin returned to the medium of acrylic and in 2003, she presented the Jardins series, featuring large format works in bold and bright colours. The garden paintings showcase Simonin's dynamic and natural gestures that defined her style so well.
