Paris 13-15

Fernand Leduc first became associated with the Automatistes during his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal. Towards the mid-1950s, his pictorial research converged and naturally led him towards the Plasticiens.

In 1965, Fernand Leduc began a series of works called Passage. In subsequent years, the series evolved into Passage-erosions and Erosions where the balance of organic forms coils into one another. The artist strips down and offers bright colours that undulate in contrasting planes.
