"Since 1960, Antoine Dumas has been walking on the most disparate and often banal subjects, a gaze full of tenderness and humour. He draws sketches of these fleeting scenes that become, at the end of a long elaboration, these strange paintings at once candid and learned that we know and often deal with illustrations.
