Hal Ross Perrigard

Canadian artist, RCA, Pen & Pencil Club, Art Association of Montreal, Beaver Hall Group
Hal Ross Perrigard was born in 1891 in Montreal. He studied at the Royal Academy of Canada under the teachings of Maurice Cullen and William Brymner. In 1913, he was accepted as a member of the Royal Canadian Academy. In 1917, he became a member of the Art Association of Montreal. He will also be a member of the Pen & Pencil Club as well as the Beaver Hall Group.
He set up a studio in Montreal then in Rockport in Massachusetts in the United States. From 1930 to 1935 he was president of the Art Association gallery in Rockport, of which he had been a member since 1923.
He will realize several murals among others for the Canadian Pacific and the Windsor Station in Montreal. He died in Montreal in 1960.
